For anyone who is interested I added a few new photos. I’ve posted a few here but visit my albums if you would like to see more. Some of these are areas I have, or plan to hunt. All of the new photos are in the Illinois and Wildlife albums and span the state from the Ohio River to Northern Illinois. Thanks for looking.
Gemmy spotted this guy in a Northern Illinois creek early one morning. She really has a good eye for spotting wildlife. A Northern Watersnake-Not poisonous but known to scare people to death. View from High Knob. Yes, this is Illinois and our best kept secret. Part of this is the very area my ancestors settled in 1810. An original Covered Bridge in Northern Illinois. Fished here a lot in my youth. __________________ |

Nice photos...I would have fished that spot a ton when I was little. Oh and the snake would have scared me out of my boots!

Thanks. There are some nice Bass and Crappie in that lake. Yeah, those water snakes will give you a good scare. At the spot I took that photo they are very common and it seems that every few feet you find one.

I should add that the bridge is the last original covered bridge in Illinois. I have a few other photos of initials carved into the bridge, many with the date and some over a 100 years old. There are also some old advertising signed nailed on the inside.

Those are some great photos! When I lived in Illinois and Indiana, my family used to drive to the various covered bridges on day trips. The one that I remember the most is "The Narrows" covered bridge in Indiana as it was the closest to us.
I absolutely love that deer image. It is amazing. Great Job! Doug __________________ |

I love fish and while freshwater Bass is not bad, it is not really my favorite freshwater fish. Their taste depends a lot on the quality of the water they are caught in. The Crappie on the other hand are delicious and a versatile fish that lend themselves to several different ways of cooking.

Thanks Patton. That old bridge is cool and there are some possible MD sites just next to it.
