Default Out along the old gold trail

Hit some of my past producing parks this morning and got about 35 coins, some junk jewelry, a battleship and a nice gold necklace that spells Lilly.

Here's the necklace, all in 10 K gold chain and 10 K wire. The little lobster clasp had parted is why it was lost. I always check my wife's clasps from time to time. I have dug a number of gold things that have had the clasp opened like this. Very easy to bend it back. Steve in so az

Nice digs, Steve! I'm curious - how did that chain and...name read? Kinda wiggy, I bet!

OK - I only go on sounds - no readout. The sound was a little scratchy but enough to see what it was. I dig a lot of iffy stuff, Steve

Nice job on the gold Steve! Very different to see a name spelled out in wire like that.

Does that mean you don't dig the solid tones?

Paul - Didn't mean to confuse people - I dig almost all signals. The solid ones for sure and most of the iffy ones also. Some years back I was at an old Civil War site and got some scratchy/iffy sounds and decided to dig. They turned out to be eagle buttons . From then on whether in town or the desert I dig most sounds. steve

Thanks Steve.
My manual for the Fisher 660 finally arrived and I played with it tonight for a few minutes out in the yard. Setting up the ground rejection is going to take some learning. I'll keep your comments in mind when I use this one. The QDII certainly works differently.
