i have a merc I found last week with a similar hardened black something or other stuck to it.
I'm trying electrolysis right now to get it of. Some of it has come off and the shine of the silver is there. It's been about 40 minutes and have had to change the water a few times already. Now it seems to be slowing down and still most of the goop is there. Good luck with yours though and tell us what you did. __________________ |

Electrolysis + Silver = Quickest way to ruin it. Any other way ( excluding hard abrasives ) will clean it if it is silver. Whatever you dont " zap " silver. You will just make it worse... __________________ |
