Default stock piling

Question for all of you stuck up in the great white north, during the year do you stock pile your old iron finds so that you have something to clean and look forward to during the winter months? We dont get anywhere near as much snow down here like you guys (used to live in UPstate NY so I know snow) and I am keeping a bunch for when the weather gets nasty.

I leave large iron pieces outside for a few months. Nature cleans them nicely. We are having a weird year, only the blizzard in Oct, then no snow since. okay by me
