Default Pheonix area hunts

I am going to Pheonix next month and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to md. Plan on being there two or three weeks. Thanks for replies.

I'm going to be watching for replies myself as I just moved to the north valley of phoenix from Pa and am new to MD..... The short time i've been here I can say you need a jack hammer to get thru this soil LOL

Make sure you check the laws/regulations in you local area befor you dig. Things are pretty strict here in Arizona. Down here in Tucson, you need a permit (no cost) to hunt in the city parks. National forrests can be detected but you need to stop by the ranger first. Pima county (county land) is off limits. BLM land is o.k. but be careful of historical (anything over 50 years old) items. State Trust Land is a no no. Of course private property with permission is o.k. Other cities you'll have to check on.

RR - There's a huge detecting club in Phoenix - called the Roadrunners I believe. Maybe contact them before hand for a hookup. Good luck, Steve in so az (Tucson)
