Default All that Silver! I couldnt wait!

Well after seeing all the Silver that members with E-Tracs have pulled I decided to pull the trigger now instead of waiting until spring! That and the fact my Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202 didnt turn on for me this morning! ( Only had it damn 5 Mths!) Also I know with the age of the spots Iam searching my Silver count should be higher. The BHs depth just didnt cut it! Now I hope it just doesnt snow until December.......

Johnny-I also hunt with an E-trac. I got it in April and hunted for 2 weeks. I didn't hunt all summer. Picked it up again mid September. I am still learning this machine. But I can say with maybe 2 months use total I have decent finds. 10 total silver (1928 SLQ my best), 4 Injuns, 1 v-nickel, 1 ring(unknown metal-find for a friend) It is a coin magnet! I actually stopped digging penny signals for now. These all from not very good sites. Really hunted out! If we get a late snow(doubtful!) I will gladly come up and help your learning curve! Kevin

Bad idea not digging those pennies. I've dug mercs that rang up as 12-43, 12-44, also barbers come in low around 12-40-42. 12-42 is your barber signal for the most part. Of course wheats are in that range too.

!!!!! I always dig 12-42 and up. For me mercs have ALWAYS been 12-44. I didn't realize barbers could go down that low. I just have been passing on the 12-37 to 12-41 area the last week. But only if they are shallow! Well I guess I have some spots I need to go over again! Thanks

I agree with Bonesquat! I found a worn Barber dime at 1 inch that rang up as 12-43 and in my last video, you see me pull a merc at 3 inches that rang up as 12-44. But in all honesty, if I am working a park and the wheaties are coming 6 inches and deeper, I also ignore the 12-44 signals at 2 and 3 inches (especially if there are dozens of them). Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Make sure you have a digging tool up to the task! It will feel like digging to china after using that BH.

I know that the etrac is one of the greatest machines out there, but I still love my Pioneer 202!
