Northern Illinois Meeting!

A couple of us were wondering if there is enough interest from fellow detectorists in northern Illinois to have a meeting so we could meet each other and then plan some group hunts. For example, if we scheduled a meeting in March or April for a Saturday morning breakfast at the Clocktower Inn restaurant (I 39 & I 90 exit) in Rockford, how many of you would be interested enough to attend? Count me in!

count me in, my hometown and have 100 acres of hunting ground w old homestead on it. I think it is hunted out (cause I haven't found anything lately) but would be willing to give others a try.

Hi everyone just signed up on this forum and am a newbie to all of this. I recently got a metal detector and did my first hunt right outside the house and found almost a hundred glass bottles in an iron box thing, not sure what it is. I live in Freeport, IL, like 30 min from Rockford. Both my brother and I are new at this and would be interested in meeting up. Even though I just started I'm hooked and want to do more.

Hunt will be held on Sunday March 20 at 9am. Anyone who likes to come is welcome and meeting site will be at Engstrom Family Park and address is 1298 Main St, Batavia,IL. Please let me know if you planning to come so I know how many people we will have. We will hunt at old park from early 1900 so there should be some nice older coins to be found. I did detect that place only one time for few hours and found wheat's, buffalos and some silver coins. Thanks, Mike
