Default going for # 3 on pi pro

1st pi pro was broke on day 1, the 1 I have now gives to many false signals, everytime a wave passes by it set off the machine. or if you swing it to fast it will set it off, I tried turning down the gain to below preset, but still get the false signals. It will pick up targets deep but you have to stop an wait for every wave to pass an this wastes alot of time, waves on the gulf come in like every 3-5 sec.s.So its going to the post office thur. an hope the 3rd will be the charm. As far as electronics this has to be first time in over 15 years I have ever had to return something an the first time I have had to do it twice.I really expected better from Whites to have a great product.

I don't have any of those problems you are having... Are you using a coil cover? Sometimes black sand can get under it and cause the falsing... I can go from water to shallow water and then out without any sounds so it sounds like you might have a problem with yours.

I run my gain at 10 O'clock and my threshold at 1 O'clock try that setting and see what happens.

No machine has a 100% record but the Whites Pulse is not far off. You don't think they tried a repair on No 1 and didn't get it right ?
I should ask for a refund on the postal charges.

no coil cover. the first machine was taken back to place of purchase an exchange for this machine. I been getting the false signals from day 1 but kept working with it an trying diffrent things an tried 5-6 diffrent beaches.I made some nice finds with it but the false signals are getting to be to much to handle.

Thats a real bummer sea's. But I just can't imagine Whites not being able to help you out on this problem. Good luck.

I HAVE NOT HAD THE PROBLEMS YOU DESCRIBE. HAVE YOU CK'ED THE CABLE FOR A CUT OR CABLE BRAKE WHERE THE COIL AND CABLE MEET . THAT IS A POSSIBLE STRESS AREA IF THE CABLE DOES NOT ALLOW THE COIL TO BE FOLDED BACK WHEN IN STORAGE.

I already sent it back to White's,, its been 2 weeks already , they said they would just send a new one to me, not sure how long that takes.I was real carefull about fixing the cable to not put any stress on it in any position. It had this problem on day 1 at the beach but I just keep working with it, an trying diffrent things but nothing change. I was hoping to take it to the east coast this sat., but I guess not .I really hope this 1 works .

Order a coil stabilizer from Tony and the coil stops flopping around... I have them on all my detectors. Your coil remains in one place at all times...
