Default Here's The #1 True Tested Way To Increase Your Ring & Coin Finds In Sports Fields Or Other Places Finds

Think physical activity....outfields with baseball have a lot of running, throwing etc. Soccer fields....more activity closer to goal posts. Think mass gatherings....sidelines of soccer fields. Do some field testing in various areas. If you get some good hits every so often, carry on. If no good finds show up after 10-15 minutes, find another potential spot. Some sports fields are gold mines, others are terrible.

Don't use a digger in a sports field either. You spend too much time digging deep targets in places where usually junk shows up. Use one of Garrett's electronic pin pointers and a screwdriver to pop out the coins and rings. Much faster then using a digger. The more digs you get per hour gets you more good finds.

Dig those pennies! Yah, I know, they are a waste of time, worth almost nothing . Why bother? Well, most silver and some gold rings read where the penny reads. There is no setting on ANY detector specifically for rings. You got to dig a lot of targets. If you want to cherry pick just the higher or lower conductive targets, go ahead. But you will leave the better finds for people who will go the extra mile and dig all penny signals. And I got paid over $50.00 {last year} to do just that in pennies, just so I could find lots of rings. And you know what? It really works.

Hope this helps...... below is a result pic from a soccer field and my over all ring totals from last year.

nice collection. here in Ga theres alot of baseball fields more so than soccer, football, and any other sport. The problem with this is ppl dont like their fields messed up from detectorist. So to avoid complaints....I only detect the outside of the baseball field. Tell you what...I've found tons of clad but no rings yet. maybe its different elsewhere with others such as you. You right about the penny read....The rings I did find rang up as a penny every time.

Excellent advise! Like dantedragon said, where I live HS football is almost a religion. If anyone sees me on the field doing anything to to, I know they'll call the cops on me. Sidelines are OK though.

That's why I suggest just using a screwdriver, not a digger.
