Default Ace 250 Signal

Went out detecting at lunch today and got a good nickel signal at about 6 inches down. I dug and dug and never got to anything. Signal was still reading in the hole. Filled my hole and left empty handed when my lunch was over. Is it possible it was a trash signal or did I just not dig deep enough? I was well over 6 inches down.

After you dig,you should turn it into "All Metall" mode.
It happens to me often - after digging : the "good" signal
turns into an "Iron" signal

Was detecting in all metal mode. I am thinking it might just be deeper.

Coke can would prob ring up as 10 cent on the ace... not 5 cent.

If the circunstances allow it ,
I would keep on digging until I find
what caused the signal. - Just to be sure.
But ,as everyone says, it is normally a big old piece of rusty iron
or a pipeline..... Was it a "long signal "?

PD.:
most of these ones give me that kind of signal on my ACE .....

Well,
I'm pointing at those cement (plates?) (or whatever you call them )
Obviously , these "plates" have iron inside and that gives "a good tone"
in my ACE .
I would only want to know how other MD's would ID them - as "iron" ?,
What I mean is : if the "high end" MDs would be fooled in this case as well.....

Signal wasn't what I would consider a long signal. I plan on going back and digging it again. I'll post with what I find.
