Default ****New E-Trac on it's way!****

Found one at metaldetector.com for about $1300. They say it was only used once, they seem to have a good reputation. I didnt think about it until after I paid, but I would assume it should come with the battery and stuff like the new one right? If not, I guess it's not that great of a deal if I have to buy the battery and stuff too. We'll see!

I've used the White's machines for years, but in the last two years have purchaced as backup machines the T2 and a Etrac, they are all impressive machines, but I now feel these newer machines have left the DFX quite a way behind, as my finds rate has improved.

The T2 I like because you can switch on and go, with no steep learning curve, and is very sensitive to gold. The Minelab is more of a beast, as you need to set it up correctly to get the best from it.

Cool cuffs man, but I really want one with a metal stand as well to replace the plastic flat one. If I still had CNC access I'd program one.

The stand on the etrac is metal. I do make a cuff that has a stand attached to it . It keeps the detector another inch or so off the ground. I only have one made so far. I will put pictures up when i get it powder coated.

Congrats on the purchase! I have been eyeballing the E-trac and the V3, and have been trying to decide which to get.

Honestly though, being a complete newbie, I know I should just stick with the XLT that I just got (and haven't been able to use yet due to the frozen ground), but I just can't help but want the "latest and greatest", especially after all the fanfare these 2 detectors have gotten.

Matt
(who is now thinking he shouldn't have even bothered to buy the XLT)

Honestly I would have both if I could. Now, how about a color screen E-Trac with GPS and wireless modem LOL.

Default New E-Trac On It's Way

The E-Trac is a fantastic machine !
Most people including myself agree that it comes with a 100 hr. learning curve. This learning curve is frustrating and fun at the same time - it's worth it !

Also, what ever you do - get Andy's Explorer & E-Trac Book - it goes way beyond the factory manual !

Good Luck ! --- Mark
