Default Newbie!

I have been wanting to get into this hobby for some years and never seem to have the $$ for the really fine detectors.
However, I am looking at a Bounty Hunter Discovery2200 at a pawn shop for $123. This fits into my budget. I know there is a learning curve. I have 30 day return policy. Is this a farily good one to get initiated into this hobby and is there a video/site/book to get me familiar enough to be successful?

Thanks, Salsaman

Welcome to the hobby and this forum. You are in the right place for advice, that's for sure! I use an ACE 250 so I really can't help you with questions about your detector. Be sure to post pics when you start finding stuff!

Default Welcome

from sunny Florida Salsaman! That discovery sounds like a good deal. Just make sure it is in a-ok working condition and you can return it if not. This is a great hobby. It can be a little confusing out of the box, but we are here to answer any questions you may have, so feel free to ask anything, we were all newbs at one time or another....Gil

Thumbs up welcome salsaman

If you dont have one U should be able to download a Manual from the manufacturers website for your particular model. ( a must have) Everything else you need to know can be found on the various catagories on this forum, & by asking questions.
