Default Basketball Award, Ring, Bullets

Digger and I hit the same beach we hit on Monday and I hit a couple rings although one is pure junk and I was tumbling a basketball charm and it has a date 1938 and the school it came from marked on it.. its 10k plated but a cool find just the same.. I was working a deep trough close to shore found the usual bullets this beach has and the coins, as well as the 10k Amethyst ring... It poured all morning but we are in the water so it didn't matter to us. Digger found a really nice old gold brooch today but no rings. He was working a different trough.

You sure are doing well with those rings. I like that 10k one. The basketball charm is a neat find, especially since it's dated.

That hook is huge! Someone had been using it for bluefish or stripers perhaps.

Angel... I only hunt area's in the water I know I will have my best chance of finding rings, I don't meander here and there... I look for certain conditions. I want to find at least 1 ring everytime I go out and I have been pretty lucky in that respect.

WThesing... Maybe after I get back from my boatclub I will post all my gold just for you I was sorting my gold from my silver last night, July 18th 05 is when I bought my PI PRO and I am planning to post all my jewelry finds July 18th 06 and I figured I would also send it to Whites and a story.. I love my detector and I have really learned what its saying even though the tone change is so subtle. They say it only have one tone but I can hear the difference in tone between gold and a coin. I had a whisper yesterday and I dug a hole 2 feet deep for a dime, it was just a break in the threshold :o(

Gold is a soft tone where a pulltab is sharp and iron generally is loud but drawn out, I have really come to love a detector with no meter and hunt by sound only...

Yesterday after water hunting Digger and I checked out a series of foundations I spied from the road in the middle of a swamp, rumor has it a Model A Ford in the swamp.... We counted 4 foundations 3 being all stone and 1 more modern, we can't hunt them right now with all the rain even the high area's where the foundations are and too wet and buggy. The trees are very old possibly 200-250 years old, we love hunting around them.

Another beautiful ring with a stone! - Just think what is out there in the deeper water too - old spots like that used to have floating rafts to swim out to - probably just as much out in the deep water - hopefully you can get out farther when water warms and you don't have to wear the wadders

Congrats on another gold ring Craig, you are doing real well on rings this year.

I like the basketball award too, very cool finding a dated one that old.
