2008 Year End Review

Well here it is, the end of the '08 MDing season. I leave again for the ship on Monday and have way too much to do before leaving to get out again this month. I won't be back on land until January 7th... so my Turkey Day swingin' ended up being the last one for the year. So here's a compilation of the year's finds.

The first image is of the full spread of keepers, simple as that.

Image two is of my coins for the year. The breakdown is as follows:

566 coins @ $26.33

No Silver coins, but did score 10 Wheaties! Oldest being a 1929

Also pictured in image #2 are the one Chuck-E-Cheese token I found as well as a token from Bacchus in New Orleans.

Picture three shows all of my charms and jewelry for the year. I only found three pieces of confirmed silver. The religious cross is marked Sterling, the small square earring to it's right is marked .925 and the smashed ring above the pink skull/crossbones is also marked .925. Everything else is just junk I suppose.

The last picture is just a few odds and ends I held on to, like the keys and bullets. But also pictured are the button/pins I found.

The button furthest left is a 1829-1832 Benedict & Coe Federal Navy Button. The one to it's right has the British Royal family's crest and Order of the Garter motto. The green one next to it is unknown. The large "gold" colored one is a WWII era US Army Air Corp enlisted lapel device. And the last one is a Boy Scouts Summertime Award pin.

Anyway, that's it for the year. It was a good one, can't wait for next year!
