Hi there, don't cha know? A cheesehead, eh? Well how about you just come on over and maybe we can fix you up with some Lutheran hot dish and some cherry jello with bananas. Yah sure, you betcha!

Anyway, I'm in the SW Metro (Eden Prairie) and for work travel throughout the Midwest. I've had some luck MDing in Wisconni but haven't stopped in LaCrosse, yet. I think there were some posts last year about someone detecting where road construction was going on and old sidewalks were being torn out. Seems like they were finding a lot of old coins!

Yeah I have to find out where the best places to really search. Today I just hit a park nearby just to kinda get the feel for my detector. After 3-4 hrs I kind of have an idea as to how to really use it effectivly. Now... I just have to find the best way to dig with out causing too much of a mess or for it to take me so much time to locate the junck (so far anyway)

I think it would be really cool to put together a hunt this fall.

Hi - SW suburbs checking in. Do you have any locations in mind? I've been wondering if permission could ever be gotten to hunt the old Flying Cloud drive-in theater; at least the part that isn't already a landfill. Do you have any places in mind?

Im in the western suburbs, probably not far from you. I do have a couple ideas. I've always wondered about the Island on lake waconia. It was a resort, with cabins, stores, ballrooms, etc, in the 30's , still some buildings standing, but I know its privately owned now, and not sure by who. Other than that, Ive only got your normal parks, schools, etc.

I live in a town called Viginia, also about an hour north of duluth, and just a mile or three from Eveleth.

Welcome from Willmar, MN. We have some friends who have a cabin on Little Pine Lake. What kind of detector did you order?
