Default old button?

The other day I found this .... button? at an old path in the woods.
It is solid and made from some white metal.Rest of bronze at the
one hole on its back .... where the shank? was
This is an ACE250 find.It didn't come out as Iron in spite of the visible
iron oxide...

Default This button is iron

I just tested it with my Tesoro Cibola .It turned out be be iron.
I had my ACE 250 set with minimal disc. But now my Cibola, once
turned the disc button up over foil the signal faded away.
An iron button? - Is this a really old one ?
