believe it or not i dug this at a 1800's school house lawn i couldnt beleive my eyes why would they make such a thing

Pull tabs and can slaw are generally my "crappy" school yard finds.....but this takes that to a whole 'nother level

Its a pie vent I think they call it.Years ago they used to put them on fresh pies. They cut a little slit in the middle of the pie to let the steam out and then they put the dog over the slit and the steam would come out you know where. I don't know if they actually served a purpose but must have been funny to watch. Nice find!

You know Scotrod, that item makes for a great conversation piece, not to mention a great ice breaker.

I would carry it everywhere with me while MDing, and when someone came up to ask me that all important question "What did you find?", I would pull that item from my bag, hold it out for them to see and grin like a Chester cat.

The look on their face would have to be priceless!
