Default Garrett dust cover

ordering a dust cover for a Garrett 1500 to go on my AT Pro and the darn shipping costs as much as the cover.

I am going to make my own.

there just isnt any covers, protectors for the AT Pro.

anyone have links, plans or ideas for covers?

Saw someone who had the entire detector covers from the head and the entire shaft.

thx,
Mike

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think AirborneDave makes a cover for the AT. If its the one I'm thinking of, it had a velcro strap to hold your headphones also.

Theres one on fleabay for $15 shipping included, it seems everything to do with detecting is expensive like a plastic coil cover for $10 which costs about 3 cents to manufacture...like $10 for clear plastic sheets for smart phones....i suppose its how important is your at pro at kepiong the dust off...id prefer a set of singlasses for it cos the sun hits it and you cant see anything

The 1500 cover fits great, I used a small section of 1/2" round foam insulation under the front top corner to raise it up some in the front.

The glare from the clear plastic front is bad, I cut a rectangle portion out over the display. I wanted to cover mainly to keep my buttons clean.

Shipping is always a deal breaker on small orders, run into the same thing when I need to order car parts... trouble is we CANT get the items we need local though. So we have to mail order.
