Question Teknetics G2???

I'm in the market for an upgrade and so far the Teknetics G2 is looking pretty good. I refuse to spend 1000.00 on a metal detector, so that kind of narrows it down. I want something American made, I now hate bell tones, and I need a nice and lite detector. Does anyone here have any ideas? Also, does anyone here have a G2? If so how do you like it?

What are you upgrading from and what are you hunting for.

A G2 and the Gold Bug with the same coil are the same machine
except the rod / handle assembly.

I have had the GB since it was released.
Its very lite, fast, quiet and very good ID .

It does not have a notch but i never use it on my other machines anyways.

I looked into it more and decided to go with a T2.

It seems like most do, I don't know why Teknetics doubled down in the same market share. Weird. Anyhow, congrats! People seem to love the T2.
