Default AT Pro finds me my first merc

being a sunday i was doing my yard work. after i finished i decided to grab the at pro and go at my front yard from a different direction. and it paid off big time had been at it for about 30 minutes when i got a kinda jump signal was bounceing from 82 to 85 was saying 6 inches. i had been over the spot before but i didnt remember the signal being so strong so i decided to dig it this time. and couldnt belive what i found about 5 inches deep it was under a piece of old tree root a 1944 mercury dime i was very excited my first silver coin with my AT pro and its a merc couldnt be any happyer with the AT pro. a question i have is should i clean the coin a small part is still shiny should i clean the tarnish off or leave it the way it is.

Congrats..
Up to you..
If you're keeping it and want to polish it go for it..
Check first the mint mark and make sure its not worth a gazillion dollars..

Congrats on your first Merc. I usually clean mine with a little baking soda paste.
