Default Porter & Harding Adj. Co. letter opener

I found this on the surface of a patch of small rocks at a beach I detected at yesterday. The thin tip was bent so I straightened it. I've also done a little electrolysis to clean it a bit. Not two weeks ago I was thinking how cool it would be to score a letter opener that I could use instead of a kitchen knife.

The handle says:
PORTER & HARDING ADJ. CO.
INSURANCE ADJUSTMENTS
CENTRAL 1260 - 724 PIERCE BLDG.

I've looked for further information about the company on the Internet to no avail. Figured I'd post this up here because... well... we hobbyists typically like this sort of thing.

Haha. That's extra funny because the other day I posted a nice topaz and diamond silver ring, that was obviously a recent drop, on this forum then Googled it immediately after I submitted the post and there was my post at the top. At least the original owners of some of our finds will be able to locate the new owners easier.......
