Exclamation first weekend metal detecting! (CAUTION PIC HEAVY)

got my new at pro in thursday from bart (thanx bart!), this is my first metal detector. so i decided to go to my moms vacant 2 acre property with a old late 1800's Victorian home on it. trashy, trashy, TRASHY! LOL! anyway I don't think i did that bad for my fist time mding got $1.55 in clad, no silver or weaties but i know there there.

I will be cleaning the property up this spring, gonna take some heavy machinery and big job dumpster. there are 3 sheds out there that will come down and i will most likely tear this house down so i can put a manufactured home or build my own for me and my family to live there. i know there is good stuff there just gotta get through all that trash. wish me luck

if you have any tips on where to search this property i would love to hear them, or just tips on metal detecting in general

Mad

here's some pics....

How bad of shape is the house in. Dump the money you are going to spend building into renovating. That house could be beautiful again. Congrats on the fins and good luck.

The house is in horrible shape and would take someone with more money than sense to fix it up, and thats not me. i grew up in this house and have a lot of good memories there but fixing it up is not for me.

Good luck in all your future hunts on your old property. It looks like a fantastic place to find old coins and relics. Is there a basement? If there is, is it concrete or dirt? That might be a good place to look, before tearing it down. Happy hunting

That house looks like it's straight out of a horror movie. I'd like to hunt there.....during the day.

This ole home still has some memories in store for you. Just keep swinging and digging and you will be rewarded. Jack

Now that you have removed a lot of the iron and other junque, you might need to go back over those places and go really slow. Silver might be hiding there and you will be able to hear it now. GL and HH Gold Nuggets

Wow that house is beautiful. I would check with the city you live in and may be they can list it as an historical home or site and they might be able to cut you a break on taxes or even help out on restoring it for historical viewing. Please try to keep the home, It's amazing. Nice hunting the property with the AT.
