Default Garrett ProPointer Sleeve

I used my PP for the 1st time yesterday & it was covered in mud so I thought I would try putting it in a baggie. I put it in a baggie then cut the excess bag off folded it over & taped it & it helped to keep it clean & didn't affect the performance. I wish they sold plastic sleeves for it. I'll have to search the internet for plastic sleelves I'm sure theres something out there that would work.

Why not try a condom?

I just wrapped electrical tape over the speaker area, then I rinse mine off in the sink after a dirty hunt.

Funny you should say that,I just told my wife the same thing, except they're more expensive & kinda slimey.
this worked good I just open the end & slide it out throw it in the trash,no washing needed

The bag trick works fine as long as you don't scrape around in the dirt. Mine lasted about 3 hunts then tore.

Im thinking maybe a really heavy duty latex glove may do the trick.

That's why you tape the ends up good, so's the bag doesn't rip. Ziplock freezer bags work well...

I just use mine as is, place my thumb over the speaker whole and rinse it off after each use. Garrett has a video out that shows them cleaning them submerged under the water from an outside faucet. They say as long as you cover the speaker hole it is fine. So far so good for me.

I do the same thing after destroying my first ProPointer...[IMG][/IMG]The bag lasts until the battery dies, and the ProPointer stays clean. Great idea!
