Default Way to much trash

I recently called my local Park and Rec office to get permission to MD on some of the more remote parks and trails around where I live. Permission was granted and I was excited, having never seen another metal detector in the area. Problem is, all the areas I been hunting seem to be where the local underage teens go to party. I cannot tell you how many beer cans, caps and pull tags I uncovered. Not to mention that these once nice remote parks are totally littered with garbage. I took my 12 year son and 3 of his buddies out with me today and we filled 5 large plastic bags with garbage. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Shame!

Trash is a problem everywhere...I take my kids to a local public shooting range a few times in the summer. people take all kinds of trash out there and leave it. so we get there about an hour early(can't shoot till noon) and fill as many 45 gal contractor bags as my truck will hold. the NYSRPA has also sponsered a few clean-ups...but it seems like the faster we clean the more they litter!
