Man what a nice collection! I love the cobalt blue umbrella the best. You have a National bottle show in Manchester NH this weekend. Don't miss it! Thank ou for sharing your collection with us. Paul :)

I do have some soda and waters but no WV specific.

I try to collect local pieces Boston, NH Lowell, Maine, etc. I have bought 2 collections, and sold off some of the pieces to pay for the ones i wanted to keep.

I can't wait for this weekend. There are seminars on saturday, an auction saturday night, and general admission ($5) entry on sunday. if you want to go in the show on saturday, you got to pay 50 $..

I need to get myself on a good old bottle dump. The one I have been hitting is drying up and I'm only really getting depression era bottles anyway. No beautiful oldies like yours. I have never even seen a milk glass medicine bottle!! You are seriously my hero.

i likes that demijohn and those colored snuff bottles....

I could help you organize those if you'd like...

just box em up and send them to me and i'll handle it.....

nice colors and some thick glass in that group...

Yea I know a few of the bottles I have can sell for some good money. But the few older collectors I have been dealing with, say bottles (antique) can hold their value as much as coins. and being breakable sometimes they can be much more valuable.

Yeah bottle market gets weird. Heck, most markets get like that. Bottles like thatheavy snuff that
are nicely colored and in great condition will definitely hold and increase in value. That color on a shelf with the sun behind it will look sweet.
Acl sodas fluctuate so much. One week a common bottle I have will sell 5-10 tops. Couple weeks later I see same name bottle in worse shape and less rare bottler sell for 70.

Milk bottles are like that too. Glad I pretty much dig to collect and only sell when wife"makes" me or I need a new toy.

Favorite bottle has to be the case gin. That shape is so awesome. Always like the heavy blocky stuff.

Really nice pile of bottles

Nice collection, Keith. You gotta love those crude New England flasks. The early NH glasshouses like Lyndeboro, Keene and Stoddard had some glass colors that are just in a class of their own. Beautiful stuff, even the shards are pretty.

I collect mostly local sodas, beers and medicines, but have a bit of everything- some pontil medicines, mineral waters, a Drake's, a Pine Tree Cordial and a bunch of inks, among many more.

My favorite bottle is my emerald green iron pontil soda from our earliest known local bottler. They were only in business from 1855 to 1859, and I only know of about 7 or 8 of the bottles that exist. It took me over two years to find one from the time I started searching

Very nice collection keith! The site I'm currently exploring has a dump about 50ft from the old foundation. I never gave it a thought to go through all those bottles and cans and MD the area. Most of the bottles are broke, but there are soooo many of them scatthered everywhere. There are some old jugs, glasses, too.
If I come across something I think you might like, maybe we can meet up (since you are in NH) and you can take them. Oh, and there's old , what looks like medicine bottles as well.

I'm currently the only one that knows about this place so, they are not going anywhere.

Very cool. The dumps are good places to detect,(once you clean up some of the trash). they threw away lots of cool stuff. marbles, dinnerware.

Let me know if you come across anything not broken. I would trade a few coins, or what not if its something I am looking for.
