Hi everyone,
Well I thought I would add something here and if you like the idea of treasure hunting, you can read about your own State or nearby States. You may like to read about some of the lost treasures in your areas. For you dreamers this may be something your interested in. And for the person that has plenty of time and really is into researching history. You might get a kick out of some of these old Treasure stories so you can research. I enjoyed reading about lost Treasures when I was a kid, maybe your kids would too.
Remember, if you plan to actually search for any of these Treasures, a few are possibly just stories, some have actual facts and others may have been found long ago and never reported.
I'm putting up two sites that contain Lost Treasures from every State and other sites for individual States and Misc. info. you might be able to use. Most give very little information on the stories themselves and even less facts. Old news papers, libraries and the Net may also help you with finding more evidence that there was a Treasure. Remember each page or site or story you read, has the possibility of giving you more info. on a specific subject or treasure you are looking for. I also added a couple of sites for locating natural Gems. Sorry if any of the sites are under construction.
Though these sites give little information, I added them so you can go by either the geographical area or the name of the person(s) that stole or hid the loot or treasure. Or the name they gave for the Treasure in question. It will be up to you to research and find more information about the stories and treasures themselves. More finds World wide, were found through sheer dumb luck than you could ever imagine.
Remember also, approximately $500,000,000.00 in treasure has been found in the Atlantic. Yet there is over $4,000,000,000.00 in buried treasure in the United States.
I'm adding Treasure stories and also sites and pages that may explain how to go about looking for buried Treasure and stolen loot. And sites that may give you more ideas where to look, plus where to find old maps. I also added a couple of stories where someone has FOUND treasure also. Almost each week I add more sites/pages to the top or bottom of the list below. Sorry it's not in very good order.
