With most of my sales being internet based, it’s not often that I get a chance to teach a customer how to use their new machine. Recently I was able to connect with two young men that are new to the hobby. The Easter Bunny had left a Garrett Ace 250 in their Easter basket. How wonderful is that? I brought along my Garrett AT PRO and Minelab Excalibur to show them the different kinds of machines. While one was learning the ACE 250, the other was swinging the Excal and AT Pro. We spent the afternoon digging rings, jewelry and lots of coins.
It certainly was a joy to spend my afternoon with these kids and watch as a passion for metal detecting was born. We met as strangers, but we left as friends. I look forward to meeting more local clients.
