Yes, experience is what is needed to understand. I think I will try an air test to see how the tone will vary in volume, maybe I can train my ears to hear that difference.

That was helpful to know about the blip, and going back to see if the blip will repeat. I do that a lot now. I spend way to long listening to the beep before I dig, but one day it will be silver and I will know how it acted before I dig it. So far all the silvers I have found have been screamers, and I go over the area again again hoping to find more. I end up digging the junk signals that have any sorts of high tones, and don't grunt on the iron audio. That's where I gain experience, haha.
