small button found in confed camp; bi-metal? bird in flight

This is an unusual button. Very small, raised image of a bird in flight. Possibly bi-metal as rim of button is different than "setting" or back of button. Perched on a penny so you can see how small it is.
Found in an April 1865 confederate camp amongst various military buttons.

Has anyone found one similar? Would love to know the age and origin.

The small size and wide rim are like that of a Jacksonian button, use on a waistcoat/vest.
