Civil War Rosette?

Found this today at a site that also gave up a very nice NC sun burst button and a damage eagle button in the past. Not a battle site, but an old home site or maybe temporary camp. Has "good luck" on one side. Looks like there may have been an attachment on the back which is now gone. Might be signs of lead on the back. Searched Google and found a few similar examples of this "rosette", but wanted to see if any experts could chime in. Thanks!

I am definitely not an expert and could be completely wrong but it doesn't look that old.

I thought the same thing when it came out of the ground. I've not found anything "modern" at this site, but who knows.

Thanks. When it came out of the ground, I think, but do not know for sure, that something came out of the back that was not dirt. Going to look at the hole again next time I am out there and see if I can find the lead filler.

The back looks to have lead with a some evidence of iron. That should date it to around 1890+.

Holy smokes I just remembered I had, maybe still have one of those. Still can't tell you much about it other than it's not that old.
