Was out detecting the other day, about 15 feet away, I see something shining in the morning sunlight. As I step closer, I smile, and take out the camera and take a picture. Picture taken as found.. Tony AZ :cool:

No metal detector needed

Since I started this hobby, I think I've found 50% of my clad without my detector. I'm always looking now and my wife wont let me carry my detector while we wait on a table at restaurants, but she can't control where I look, most of the time anyway.
 
Gotta love the ones you don't need to dig for. I still would on managed it scratch it picking it up somehow with my luck. Congrats
 
Nice surface find, I’ve found a silver Rosie, a war nickel and a barber dime on the surface

I absolutely hate the dry southwest, like where I live in SoCal, but the one good thing is with metal detecting. Lots of good finds right at or near the surface, since there isn't a lot of vegetation/organics buildup over the years to push stuff deeper..... ;)
