Little Green Car

Trying out my latest detector, a Fisher ID Edge, among other things I found this little green car.

I found it near where I usually find car parts. I guess while some man was working on his car, his boy was working on his. A magnet won't stick to it so I guess it's aluminum or some kind of pot metal. I think that it's probably out of the 40's since the area was a housing development during WWII. It is unmarked so I don't know who made it. No wheels, just little half circles for wheels. Another picture with other finds for size. It's small. Any ideas?

Puts me in the mind of an old Desoto (or Hudson Hornet?), and Dinky as the manufacturer, but that's all speculation on my part.
