Did a little woods hunting today to avoid the snow and frozen turf. I only ended up digging 6 non-ferrous signals. Three wheats, a pull tab, a 1905 V nickel in great shape, and an 1894 S barber quarter. Every good target had multiple nails in the mix. The barber had at least 4 framing nail in with it.

Excellent finds Zach. I'll bet you're glad you ventured out into the cold.

The ground is frozen here too. Which is why I chose this wooded location to hunt. I took a rake and raked away the leaves and snow to reveal ground that could be dug.

Hardcore!
I kicked aside leaves and twigs and had to chip with my shovel:mad:
I dug 6-7 targets in all, all completely frozen solid.

Real nice finds, too bad the 1894 s wasn't the dime. Could you get a date of the wheaties? Frozen here but supposed to warm up the next three days with rain so maybe get out again. Stay warm n good luck Mark
