I ordered a new Stealth scoop. I ended up with a 720i hybrid. I nearly ordered a 920, but wasn't sure I wanted to lift it from the water full of mud. I'm glad I got the 720. My back and shoulders are already in bad shape. Besides, the Stealth scoop has a taller basket than the one I built myself, so the stealth digs more material per scoop than I was used to. The welds were beautiful and the craftsmanship was incredible. I have been a trim carpenter for years and I love attention to detail. This thing was well thought out, intelligently designed and skillfully finished!

I was having a hard time getting free time to detect, but my daughter was staying the weekend at my sister in laws this weekend and sister in law lives on a lake. So when I dropped the kid off, I snuck in a short hunt with the AT pro and the stealth. Man that scoop digs like a dream! Nothing spectacular in the finds, got a junker ring, a wheat cent and a petoskey stone. I wasn't expecting much, I detected this spot last year and there wasn't much likelihood of fresh drops.

Glad you like it. I'm going on my sixth year with mine. I. That time, I went through two wooden handles and finally bought a CF. If you have the chance to save up the money, CF is awesome.

I am a cheapskate! I have an Amish friend that I buy wood handles for any tool that needs it. I accumulate old hammers, axes and hatchets. I buy all my handles from my friend and re hang the heads then give these beautiful old tools as gifts. To me, anything besides wood is sacrilege:lol: and expensive!

You get a new scoop and mention it in your title...and then FAIL to include a picture of it? What's wrong with you? BTW you must shower and sleep with your new Stealth at least once to show it that your really love it and want it to find gold for you.

Ha, I actually felt bad that I didn't post the scoop in the picture after mentioning how well it was made, it is truly a functional piece of art! I had to look closely at some of the welds to see that they were made by hand!

Hopefully any future pics will have treasure in the scoop!

I like the smaller holes on the bottom..... i need that with the Nox i think. But id much rather have the slits in that area. What size are the holes in the lower area..... and thru out?

I have the slits. You are going to need smaller holes than that with the Nox. Unbelievable how small this thing will pick up. If it falls through forget it.

Old shoe eyelets, small brass snaps, small brass zipper pulls. You are going to be chasing small targets for sure.

Small holes are 1/4” big holes are 1/2”. I won’t chase the tiny stuff here. Too many lead split shot sinkers. You can waste 5 minutes chasing those things in chest deep water and still not get it. I’ll try 2 or 3 times, and if it keeps falling through the holes, I move on.

Most of the time you all have to admit we know the metal of the target..... or have a pretty good idea. The Nox loves copper for sure and can pick up a tiny piece. So far.... ive rarely left it out there no matter how small and ive got 1/2" holes..... and so far not studs with earrings. But man can it find those copper ones with glass ect. Ill chase a target..... old, retired, and not to bright i guess.

Scoop

I've had my 720i scoop for over a year now and can't say enough good things about it. First time out with it, wasn't in Lake Tahoe for more than 5 minutes and scooped up a men's Platinum ring size 11. Sold it for much more than what I paid for the scoop. Woo Hoo!

I used to, but I don’t have good health or much detecting time. I much rather chase higher probability targets than wear myself out on split shot lead these days.
