Found by my son on our property after severe rains. There is a dump from the 50’s - 70’’s on the property.

Can you identify it?

Bottom has PAT PNDG and a number 5
The lid seems like very hard plastic and is shaped like a chess piece horse.

Thank you for helping.

Like others said, maybe a perfume or even a cologne bottle. Most bottles I've dug or seen that say "patent pending" are 1950s or earlier. If it's from a small company it may be hard to identify.

Now seeing the thing from above, that looks like a liquor flask.

If I found it it would become a liquor flask, but I don't think it's a flask. I have been known to carry a flask and the main reason was to hide booze, either from authorities, Mom, or people I didn't want to share my booze with and I think the tall cap just doesn't make sense for something that's designed for stealth.

I arrived at that opinion due to the universal curved flask shape. All flasks are not for concealment. It also fits the bill as a liquor container, cap notwithstanding.

If it was for liquor, it will have a full neck opening. If it was for cologne/perfume, it will likely have a reduced flow top under the cap. Not sure, but after shave might be either type?
