CW wedding band?

Back in the early 90's when I was just a wee lad, at a spring near Ringgold, GA, this small sterling silver band was dug.
The spring site was reported to have been used as a hospital by both sides and the stuff that had been dug from there backed the claim.
This band appears to me to be old from the hand stamping of "Sterling" twice inside the band and the poor soldering job joining the band.
My question is, is anyone familiar with bands from CW era? Could this ring be contemporary to the CW?

My guess would be post 1900's. If I remember right up until then there was no requirement to stamp rings.

Hey, still a nice find.

Thanks everyone!
I didn't think it was old enough but the lack of modern trash and what-not in the area made me think there was a chance.

Without a makers mark it would be difficult to date and the silversmiths did use that notation for Sterling, .925 came later. While it is possible you will probably never know for certain.
