For what it's worth, "The Urban Treasure Hunter" is a fairly recent publishing, and therefore more up to date.

Yes, the copyright date is 2005. I'm now about halfway through
and it has some new stuff .......worth every penny in my book !
(couldn't resist that last comment )

For others interested, at the time of publication, the author, Michael
Chaplan, lived in the Greater New York metropolitan area and his TH'ing
adventures take place there (as far as I've read.).
He has Master's degrees in anthropology (study of man, his
origins, development, distribution, social habits, culture, etc..) and
Public Health (his final career choice). He has pursued TH'ing for
over 20-years, traveling both here in the U.S.A. and abroad.

I recently ordered a number of books dealing with the history of some of the townships that surround me. If you go to Amazon, look for the books from Arcadia Publishing. They are mostly pictorial in nature, but I am gaining a wealth of clues and info for future hunting. Apparently Arcadia has books on local history for a good bit of the country. Just do a search on Amazon using the locality names. :!:
