I stopped at a tearout on the way home from work and was lucky enough to find a few keepers.
This little gold pocket watch is not crusty or flaky but appears to have a solid gold frame:D
The 1947 Rosie is a little green because it was stuck to a nickel:yes:

Happy Hunting Everybody

Im going to say thats gold filled, not solid gold. Looks like its got some corrosion/patina in some of the typical spots. Id get it checked out. And you will have to skip the acid test (obviously its got gold on the outside) gotta do the electronic tester thing.
Good find either way

Thanks,
Hoping it is just surface corrosion.

Nice work! I hope that pocket watch is legit.

Would love to see a pic of the watch after you clean it up. Looks like some of the mechanism is still inside?

Thank you for sharing and inspiring!
