Have one of each coming this week, and trying to determine what coils I should have to go with them in this Georgia red dirt. From reading is a must, and smaller than factory? One I keep seeing as being fairly good is the Detech 8x6" SEF Butterfly Search Coil. Open to opinions, will be relic and coin hunting in all sorts of areas with old homesteads so I want the best cha conce of deep accurate hits :)

In the Georgia soil factory size coils or smaller are typically better. But if you are civil war relic hunting and stuff is deep you will be loosing targets with a small coil. Only advantage may be in a very junky area where you could try to get some items from the trashy site.

I have a 8" Sunray and like it for old home sites first then change back to the 10.5" for a second pass the opposite direction.

Ordered up a smaller coil so I am prepared. Today my safari arrives, and the f75, lots to learn.
