I went out to a field where I have found small Civil War relics before. I was disappointed when I first got there, the grass being high and lots of rough stubble. I had my heart set on finding a few spent or dropped bullets, or a button or two. I wasn't going to let myself get discouraged, so I decided I would hunt big iron. I was thinking that would be th only signals I could dig since I couldn't get the coil all the way to the ground. I am sure glad I did! I got a medium negative vdi low tone. I dug down about 8 inches and popped out this Parrot Artillery shell. The fuze is still mostly intact.

Very jealous, I definitely am always hoping for a cannon ball or artillery shell!
