My hunting time has been limited to a few hours on Sundays lately. In a silver slump I finally managed two Japanese silver coins last Sun. So I went back to that yard this Sun. and thought it sure would be nice to pull a big silver from this place being its been so stingy on everything else. I thought if I do find big silver it'll probably be Japanese. Some people would complain if you hung them with a new rope. Little did I know my day was about to get better. My first sure signal, by the number I thought would be be a wheatie, it was. 1946 # 237 FTY. Next target was a 13-46 steady, I was thinking another 50 sen as I was in the same area where I found the two last week. I was surprised when I saw a very shiney rosie in the hole. Just glad for the silver I was thinking this yard is going to start giving up some good stuff. A memorial penny and some iron, and then I got a high pitch--13-48 7-43--7-46, turned- same #s- quickmask- tone, numbers- same,4 in. down Getting excited, alright calm down, plumbing fixtures have faked you out before. Ok for giggles TTF. HIGH TONE! Gotta be something good. Turn the plug over I see black in the dirt, Thats always a good sign, One handful of dirt on the towel and I see a large rim but no reeding on the rim I think what is this, a big spacer, washer, what? I see a little black toward the face of the target so I wipe a little and see the face of the coin I said sons a gun It ain't American but it ain't bad. My second big silver and its a dandy. A 1910 German 3 mark coin, just under a half ounce of silver. I'm thinkin war souvenirs. I didn't dig alot but a good day none the less, silvers # 36 & 37. My goal is 50 this year, I just may get there. By the way the button came in at 12-45, same with an air test, when I get more time I'll fool with it, wondering if its not a dime someone made a button out of. Huh? Good luck to all and HH Mark
