Here is how I park my car when off on a site detecting. Lots of times I have to pull my car on the edge of the road or in an unused driveway in metro Atlanta. This is because 90% of my old home sites are now on property with for sale signs and I have to hike back in a 1/2 mile or so from where I park my car to get to the home site.
Three years ago someone gave me this idea. I ordered this hat on eBay and always leave it on my dashboard of my car when hunting. In metro Atlanta the city and county police are so used to survey teams roaming about on property that is for sale.
The hat plus the green neon traffic vest come in handy with nosy neighbors when curb hunting. I just tell them I all looking for property markers and they accept it.
