Went back to an old pounded park that keeps giving a few goodies up. Not many high tones left. Concentrated on nickels. Managed a great nickel hunt. The ground is not nice to them, but i still enjoy old ones. The 1907 nickel is especially ugly. 2 Vs, 2 Buffalos, and 2 pre-war Jeffersons. I was hoping to score a war nickel. Not this time. The wheat and Merc were in the same hole. Really odd signal. Thanks for looking.

Those old Vs hit at deep, solid 11s on the 800.

Nice nickel foray there! I usually don't check the year on old Jeffy nickels if they aren't War nickels. Sometimes they are found deep.

I usually don't either unless they are found deep. I'm always expecting a Buffalo.

That's a more than nice day out and about. Nice to see people finding great stuff west of the Mississippi. I get jealous sometimes of the East coast folks.
