Need to invest in a compact tractor.

John Deere out of my price.

Any experience/opinions/reviews on Kioti or Mahindra?

As far as implements/attachments go, I definitely need a snowblower, followed by a front end loader.

Nice to have would be brush hog, post hole digger....

thanks

Well I can't be of much help as we have more of a lawn tractor and not something we would likely equip as a front end loader, we have a Husqvarna YTA22V46.

I'm not familiar with the brands you mentioned, but found a web forum for tractors that include those brands so you can read any pros and cons and if users have had any major problems.

My DAd had a Mahindra , 4 wheel drive. I used it for some bush hogging one time , I think it was kind of small for the job. It was probably a 20 -25 hp tractor. I've looked a few Kioti's and I seem to like them better , but personally I don't own either. I own a small 21 hp MF , but It's smaller than what I'd like to have. I missed a good deal on a Kioti a few years ago , with the backhoe . Personally , I think I would go with the Kioti , but do a few searches for reviews on them on line. There was a year or 2 where Kioti had a tractor out that had an unbalanced harmonic balancer , and if it wasn't caught in time , it was putting excessive wear on the motor. Just my opinion here.

My dad bought a Kioti some number of years ago. The Kubotas were just too much $ for the options he wanted. The bucket he got opens up so it can grab stuff, it's pretty useful. He hasn't had any problems with it so far. Apparently Kioti used to have something to do with Kubota then split. Also heard Kubota said they stole a lot of their designs and Kioti has claimed the same of Kubota. Kioti's orange is apparently just a TINY bit different than Kubotas!

Maybe you should check auctions. When my father dies my sister put his recently serviced Cub Cadet tractor with lots of attachments up for auction. The tractor worth over $3500 sold for $350.

I don't have either brand mentioned but a very good chainsaw & lawn equipment dealership in my area started carrying Mahindra a couple years ago and I doubt that they would sell and service a brand that wasn't any good.

I would wait and save a little longer for a deere. you are going for a cheap knock off with no resale value. I hope you can get parts for them when they break down. its like buying plumbing junk at the big box store. no warranty and it was junk when it was new.

Someone nearby was trying to sell one of those tractors, really cheap, low miles on it. Had blown a rod thru the engine block.

Personally, I'd only consider John Deere or Kubota.
You get what you pay for, sometimes you just have to open up the 'ol wallet.

I really like my 40 hp Cub Cadet with front loader. Not sure I'd buy another diesel tho, they're pretty difficult to get started when it's cold and that's pretty much the only time I need it.
