No she could not say. When I asked where I might find information on that or whom I would speak with she just repeated it is for historical reasons and not allowed anywhere on the island.

Thank you for all the replies I will do a little more investigating the next few days and see what I come up with. Great forum so glad I found this

Have a buddy go to the beach and throw a silver ring as far as he can, while blindfolded. Then you run a Craigslist lost and found ad for the ring. Print out the ad. Have it with you if anybody makes any nosy comments.
