Need help reading an old signature.

This is in the front of an old book I have from 1900. The owner signed it in 1901. I believe the name says Ann E. Kooword. This page has brown spots which are actually very light. They only look darker due to enhancing the image. The pages are white.

The book, by the way, is Eben Holden - A Tale of The North Country by Irving Bacheller. Great story!

Checked on Ancestory.Com..nothing under Kooword...maybe Roword? or Kerwood?

I see Keoword as the last name.

Edit: I think the first letter of the last name isn't a K, might be an R.

that is what I see as well.

There MIGHT be a possibility the next to last letter is an "N" instead of an "R" based on the likeness to the first "N" in Ann.

but it still could be an "R", just a thought !

I see Ann E Xeoword

The first letter of the last name could be a K or and R, but, it looks like a cursive X to me.
