They are trying to change the Monopoly pieces.
I don't like change, too much of that nowadays and now this...madness!
We already lost the iron in 2013, now there is a whole new batch of playing pieces you can vote on till the end of the month including emojis...emojis!
The world has gone crazy.

You can still vote in the old ones and we must save the traditional pieces...especially the car.
I am ALWAYS the car or I just won't play.
I have found and dug up two of those cars in the wild which made me happy.
If we don't act now they might go extinct.

I will admit I did vote for the tyrannosaurus because that one is cool but never mind that...SAVE THE FREAKIN' CAR!

Vote now, vote often.

My vote is in for the car the T-Rex, and the sport bike!

Thank you.
You can vote as many times as you want to till January 31.

That T-Rex is pretty neat, isn't it?

In Obama's last speech he urged everyone to get off their butts, get out and do something to effect change...or to keep the good stuff around.
This is what he was talking about...I know that for a fact.

WHAT ?!?! ......no pieces representing a metal detector, stack of clad, or a pull-tab ?

Maybe they need to offer a detectorist version of monopoly, with those and other related pieces and some changes to the game like instead of collecting $200 in paper bills when you pass "GO" you collect $200 in silver coins, and if you get all three of a property color group you get unlimited permission to detect there :laughing::laughing:

Anyhow, among my voting choices I did vote for the CAR and the T-REX, but NO emojis !

found this pic when searching for the board pic, not sure how long ago this edition was offered -

Detectorist Monopoly ?

I didn't see a "Detectorist" version of Monopoly, but if they did make one maybe it could be similar to this -:laughing::laughing:

Ok as a nostalgic guy, I initially went there to save them all, but when we couldn't keep all the originals....I for the first time voted for hope and change:lol:

Game over man...Game over!

+1 always the boot or the thimble never anything else, they need to keep the originals though. They actually have a version now where you don't even have paper money, you keep track with a calculator... thats 'murica for ya!

Sorry dude...one of your favorites is gone!

Rumor is the thimble got the popular vote but lost the electorals.
Oh well, the car is still ok...so far.

I always got the battleship or the wheelbarrow...Funny thing, snowed in all Winter in Minnesota back in the early 80s...Bored, 24hr games played during a blizzard!....So We took RISK and Monopoly and combined the two!..We called it 'Riskopoly!'

Now THAT was a game! Pretty much a Real World microcosm going on! 'Table Talk' was allowed! You could unabashedly strike up a deal and form alliances to attack another player! Cash flying! deals made!...like, hey..."go ahead and take this small little country of mine just to get your chips".... "but you better help me ransack that damn guy holding Australia!" You expend what you got, do a decent press, lose a lot of your soldiers, hotels, RR's... and I will not attack you from the Bering Strait!, I will continue the hard press against him with my troops and cash on my roll! Promise!

All things changed fast and fluid though..Deals were made and broken on the roll of a dice!....Conquering the World is a tough gig, and you cant really trust anybody...best thing was teaming up with a player who got wiped off the face of the planet earlier in the day and had an axe to grind on the rematch!...! You could always count on them in their urge to get even! It was not business, or a stupid game, it was Personal!

One things for sure...no matter who was the best strategist or lucky warrior...the banker always won...Like I said..Real world...
