From HF, the single drum one.

Just put my first batch of clad in (no pennies of course) Before and after pictures coming up once they're done (only been in about 10 minutes so far)

Before and after shots, plus before for my pennies. Those are in the tumbler now. Overall I'm pleased, but some didn't come out as nice as I'd hoped...especially nickles, but they'll all go through coinstar machines I'm sure

Yep, I used aquarium gravel. We had some "on hand" (our fish recently croaked and I dumped the gravel in the backyard, so I went and grabbed a few handfuls :) )

I clean all my clad coins with a rock tumbler.
1. 2/1/2 " of smaller aquarium stone, 3 or a little larger stones.
2. A good handful of clad coins ( No Pennies ).
3. Just cover the coins and stones, not overfill with white vinegar.
4. 2 table spoons of salt.
5. Close the canister and shake well.
6 Run for 15-20 minutes.
7. Take the drum off and shake well again and run another 20 min.
8. Empty the contents in a colander and rinse well with cold water.
All your coins should be nice and clean.

Hmm.....I used water, dish soap, and a little vinegar....no salt....

I think I'll try your "recipe" once I get more vinegar from the store (I only had a little left :) )

I have seen some folks use steel shot and it looks like it works real good...

Just don't add salt and vinegar together. Just to see the effects try it and throw a penny, nickle dime into the mix, wait 10 minutes for full effect. Watch if you like.
