Is there any hope for this V Nickel?

My oldest coin find so far a 1904 V-Nickel, and it looks like this...

Is there anything I can do to bring out the details a bit? Wold love to make it look nice enough to display.
 
There is a product called Nik-A-date which helps bring out details on nickels.
I have also had success with 0000 steel wool:yes:
 
I Brillo pad my nickels. (The last time I publicly said this, I was PM'd a stern warning.) But I really don't think a dug nickel has much or any collector value anyway. Scrub 'em!!!

:laughing::laughing: Right with you there Brother! Who gives a tinkers cuss about nickels! I dont even check for the 'war' ones anymore!:laughing:

Nickels are very often pure garbage when dug, even if they were like new when lost. You can't really hurt the value any more than nature already has, so try whatever until it's clean enough or completely smooth. LOL
