First trip out with the equinox and took it over to a private permission that I've detected at least 10 times with etrac. It is a site that I've considered "practically" hunted out and wanted to see if "Nox" could find anything I missed.

At this site I've found a seated half dime, 2 SLQs, barber dime, 1916s Merc, 2 v nickels, 5 buffalo nickels, a silver 5 peso coin, and at least a dozen wheats.

First two coins right off the bat were two wheats, where I've definitely been over with etrac a lot. Rough signals but nox gave enough indication of a coin that I dug them. Would etrac have missed them today if I got the coil over??? Impossible to say. The wheats got me excited though, hoping for missed silver... But alas, it did not work out that way. I'll try one more time after some rain to really determine if nox is better than etrac.

Congrats on the wheats and a successful maiden voyage with the Equinox. Most spots I hunted with an Etrac gave up additional coinage. Good luck, Mark

Nice first hunt with the NOX on a well hunted playing field!

How deep was the wheat..........ale?

oh c'mon, you know that's not a test of the Nox vs other machines. You would have needed to do a flagged test, with two competent users. To tell their "calls". Ie.: Perhaps the other machine would have gotten it just fine !

I’ve been so happy with my 800 it’s unbelievable I have found more with that 800 add a public Ford that has been so call “hunted out” Since the 70s and 80s and I’ve noticed it hits small objects as an Trime‘s I even hit a 1896 1/4 Guatemalan real Now that is small
